Meet the Premier Auto's team

Phillip

Blackbourn

Phillip completed his apprenticeship as a Diesel Mechanic at Farm Services local John Deere Franchise in Pukekohe.   He left John Deere and worked for Grove Road Workshop in Papakura as a car mechanic and when he moved to Albany, worked at Alltech Diesel and Turbo.  The opportunity to return to Papakura arose, which he accepted and was the Manager of Grove Road workshop until 2002 when he purchased Premier Auto Services with Nigel Bayford.  Nigel moved overseas early in 2004, when Phillip was joined by his Dad, Owen in partnership. Owen has since retired and the workshop is managed by Phillip and his soon to be wife.

Phillip's interest in motorsport started at a very young age starting with karting then moving up into Car Club competitions. Phillip's passion is in building and racing rally cars! Phillip has competed in or serviced at many events including Targa, the Six Hour Endurance Race, the New Zealand International Rally and many Hillclimbs and Rally Sprints.

Belinda

Blackbourn

Belinda has been working in accounts and administration for the past 9 years. Bee worked for Excell Corporation in the building services, OSM, and enviro departments as a contract administrator so is used to working in a male environment.  Bee has always been interested in motorsport spending many weekends away with mates who raced TQ midgets. Bee's first race car was a suzuki swift - known as D-cup racing! Bee now races and co-drives for husband Phillip, in one of their mark 2 escorts.

At Premier Auto's we're also committed to improving the quality of automotive engineers for the future, and when possible take on students as part of their qualification for hands-on experience.
